Read this before you rely on anything here.
Short version: this site is for orientation. Your government's advisory is the one that counts.
This is not travel advice
Travel Risk Atlas is an information resource built from public datasets and published government advisories. It is not official advice, it is not personal advice, and it cannot account for your nationality, health, itinerary or circumstances.
Always read the current advisory issued by your own government before you travel. It is the only source that speaks for your nationality, it is updated far more frequently than this index, and it is the source your insurer will refer to if you make a claim.
Insurance
Travel insurance is commonly void for travel to areas your government advises against visiting. A low score on this site does not mean you are covered, and a high score does not mean you are not. Read your policy.
Accuracy and limits
Indicators are published at different times and some are years old; each figure shows its year where possible. Country-level scores hide large internal variation. Hand-written sections describe patterns reported by travellers and authorities, not guarantees about any specific place, business or person. Conditions change quickly, and this site is rebuilt periodically rather than continuously.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss or harm arising from use of this site. You are responsible for your own travel decisions.
